How to fix "\/" in url text message

I have URL printed normally in Python, however when the it's sent via sms, the url link has a broken string with '' auto appended before any '/'.

For example, printed correctly python 'http://www.example.com/' when sent via sms, it became 'http://www.example.com/' displayed in the text message

And this doesn't happen to all urls, some are displayed ok in text message, some aren't

Any idea how to fix this?
