If a port pin is not available on micro-controller, is its function implemented on chip?

I'm using a micro controller NUC240LC2AE. It says their is an inbuilt temperature sensor attached to PORT A7. On looking at the pin diagram of controller there is no pin assigned PA.7. So is it possible that the implementation for temperature sensor module is not done in the chip? Or is it that external pin is not provided for GPIO but internally it is connected to ADC? I tried to implement the code, assuming that it is internal to controller and external pin is not provided, but code doesn't work. General description in datasheet says "One built-in temperature sensor with 1℃ resolution" Is there any way to confirm? enter image description hereenter image description here
