Loading an image with Dev C++

My goal is relatively simple which is loading an image with the usage of C++. I compile and run these codes using Dev C++. I already linked these respective headers in the compiler options and in the parameter.

}

The code is successfully compiled but when I run the .exe file, it does not show anything; seems like does not process anything at all. I’ve been working on loading this image for a few days already but to no avail. I would really appreciate it if there are other solutions.

I also tried using openCV to load the image and it can compile but would not run at all and does not create any .exe file

#include "opencv2/opencv.hpp"
#include <iostream>

using namespace cv;
using namespace std;

int main(int argc, char** argv)
{
 // Read the image file
 Mat image = imread("C:/Users/Lenovo/Desktop/New folder/sabahpride.jpg");

 // Check for failure
 if (image.empty())
 {
  cout << "Could not open or find the image" << endl;
  cin.get(); //wait for any key press
  return -1;
 }

 String windowName = "The Flag"; //Name of the window

 namedWindow(windowName); // Create a window

 imshow(windowName, image); // Show our image inside the created window.

 waitKey(0); // Wait for any keystroke in the window

 destroyWindow(windowName); //destroy the created window

 return 0;
}

The task is due tomorrow so I really need the help that I can. Thank you.
