How to create a lab to study fiber channel and scsi?

For now, my point isn't exactly to study storage, but how to scan/add new luns created by storage admin in a Linux environment and after, configure multipath. I am working as Jr Oracle dba and I always need the help of Linux sysadmin when I need to add more disks in ASM diskgroup. I'd like to know how to do it by myself as well (scan/add the new disks in the linux server and configure multipath) and then, add more disks to ASM diskgroup.

  1. Is there some storage appliance to use in virtual box or VMware? Which you recommend?
  2. It's possible to create hba interface in a virtual machine from virtual box or VMware?

From here, I can research how to do this tasks by myself.
